Job Location : Moose Factory or Cochrane, Ontario
Position Summary :
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Development Manager, the Travel & Administration Clerk will coordinate travel for department staff by making travel arrangements and ensuring that financial and travel policies are adhered to. The Travel & Administration Clerk will assist staff by familiarizing them with the travel policies, procedures and forms, and ensure that all necessary documentation is filed with the department and that the finance department receives the same. This position requires a strong knowledge of building filing systems within a growing organization, creating and developing a monthly reporting system, and working with other administrative staff for data collection and reports for the Director and the Committee. Responsibilities also include managing travel arrangements and booking systems for meetings and events within our program.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Business Administration Diploma, Office Administration, or education related to Database Systems.
- Excellent mediation and conflict resolution skills preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in an administrative or travel-related position.
- Experience working with a First Nation is an asset.
- Experience working within a database and reporting stats; Penlieu preferred.
- Willingness to understand the Child / Family Services Act (CFSA), understanding Part 4.
- Knowledge of the Provincial Child welfare system is an asset.
- Strong computer, written, and verbal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial procedures and practices.
- Time management skills to work with large numbers of files.
- Ability to work well with Community members and affiliates of our First Nation.
- Willingness to learn and work within MCFN’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with other travel agencies within Canada.
- Knowledge of creating filing systems and processes.
- Knowledge of travel within Canada and how to make those arrangements.
- G or G2 Driver’s License required.
Duration : Permanent with 3 months probation
