Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Territory Agro Equipment Salesperson at our Crop Inputs location in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. If you are looking to use your industry knowledge and skills to take Nipawin Crop Inputs Centre to the next level, then Lake Country Co-op is looking for you! This position is responsible for promoting and selling agricultural equipment and machinery to both new and existing customers. This role involves identifying customer needs, recommending suitable equipment solutions, building long-term relationships with clients, and supporting after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do :

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
  • Promote, sell, and deliver after sales service of full line of agricultural equipment products and maintain strong understanding of product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments, offer product solutions, prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads within assigned territory or customer base; deliver crop input, feed, fuel, and lubricant leads to appropriate colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, contractors, and agribusiness clients.
  • Attend trade shows, demonstrations, and community events to promote equipment and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing campaigns or promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer interactions, and equipment orders and input data into Customer Service Management (CSM) system.
  • Support location operations during peak seasons as needed.
  • Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.

Who You Will Work With : Reporting to the Crop Inputs Team Leader, you will be a key participant in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with the assigned territory, with a focus on promoting and selling a range of agricultural equipment solutions that meet the needs of local producers. You will work collaboratively with the complete ag sales team to offer integrated farm solutions that enhance productivity and profitability for growers.

Who You Are :

You are looking for a career in Agriculture Sales and Customer Service :

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent; post secondary education in agriculture, business, or sales, or a PAg designation is considered an asset.
  • You have 2 years of sales experience in agriculture and equipment.
  • You have working knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming practices.
  • You are mechanically inclined or able to understand technical aspects of machinery and equipment.
  • You have a passion for retail sales and all aspects of the agricultural industry.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office and CSM systems.
  • You are self motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You have strong negotiation and closing abilities, are an effective planner, and have superb time management skills.
  • You are able to fulfill the physical job requirements; ability to lift 50lbs as needed, mix of office work and outdoor visits to farms and customer locations.
  • You possess a strong work ethic, understand the concept of “full service,” and are willing to work additional hours during seasonal peaks.
  • You are willing and able to achieve WHMIS and TDG certifications.
  • You carry a valid driver’s license (class 5 minimum) for day travel as required; Class 1A is an asset.
