Are you captivated by the idea of diving headfirst into a career as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice? We’re searching for someone with unbeatable problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling routine maintenance tasks like tires, brakes, and alignments.

We are looking for an eager and motivated Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at our Antigonish, NS location. You will participate in our training program, expand your knowledge of automotive technology, and work with the latest tools and equipment while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Execute front-end brake services, shocks, and wheel alignments.
  • Safely perform tire removal, installation, and repair for passenger and light truck vehicles, including mounting / dismounting tires, balancing, inflating, and reinstalling.
  • Diagnose tire issues, evaluate reparability, and apply appropriate repair methods.
  • Understand and use alignment machines, flush machines, and oil lube and filter service.
  • Assist with mechanical inspections and services, including work order procedures, alignment, flush machines, and oil lube and filter service.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold a safety-first mindset by following PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Success

  • Completion of Automotive Technician Program or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
  • Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a desire to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to excel in a physically demanding environment with heavy lifting
  • Safety consciousness; wear required PPE and follow work protocols
  • Motivated, positive attitude, respectful teamwork, and willingness to develop others
