How you'll make a difference : You'll guide strategies and combat risks to allow WorkSafeBC to best serve their employees.

Where you'll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position. In this role, you'll work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.

  • Lead emergency preparedness and response operations, including managing the activation of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) during critical incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency training programs, drills, and exercises to ensure compliance with ICS Canada standards and maintain staff readiness.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressive leadership roles - including experience managing people - in emergency management, disaster recovery, or business continuity planning. Proven experience in managing emergency operations centers (EOCs) and leading incident response teams is required.
  • Experience within a public sector or regulatory environment is highly desirable.
  • We'll consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.
