We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Field Coordinator to join our growing team in the Toronto office. If you are passionate about supporting and cultivating a preventative safety culture that works to reduce or eliminate risk of injury or illness within the workplace, then we want to meet you quickly!
Reporting into the HSE Director, the HSE Field Coordinator is a reliable and knowledgeable resource for workers, supervisors, forepersons, managers and executives to provide support, advice, inspections, training, hazard identification, and document management.
This position will include both in-office work as well as in-field support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Training : Supporting the facilitation of safety-related training, including Orientation. Review evaluations of training delivery feedback. Coordinate with external training providers and our internal labour managers and workers, scheduling of training. Coordinate, maintain and upload training records in the system.
- On-site Engagement : influence compliance and commitment in the field to all HSE requirements.
- Assisting in document control and data quality and integrity.
- Assisting in the development of HSE communications to support the HSE Strategy.
- Partnering with operations on HSE messaging and communications to MN employees.
- Attending all HSE applicable meetings.
- Supporting the HSE and Risk Management teams in maintaining compliance status across all contractor compliance sites ( Avetta, ISNet, etc.).
- Providing support in all required HSE statistical data and documents for prequalification.
- Supporting operations and Senior Leadership in managing risk by :
Identifying opportunities of improvement through inspections and auditsEnhancing our safe work procedures by utilizing lessons learnedProviding training recommendations to ensure competency and awareness of workersConsulting for operations on new project site specific safety plansIncident and claim management support
