  • Partner with site management to proactively identify, assess, analyze, and mitigate job hazards; and establish high effectiveness of controls and processes to eliminate safety risks.
  • Engage, motivate, and train employees on safety roles and responsibilities, accountabilities, and processes to maintain a safe workplace.

  • Monitor existing and incoming relevant legislation and regulations to ensure the site meets requirements and that health and safety management programs are up to date with leadership.
  • Work in compliance with Provincial OH&S acts, regulations, and legislation, Industry best practice, and internal Policy and Procedure.
  • Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager, National Health and Safety.

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for:

  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate good, sound judgment.
  • Availability to work weekend schedules and in temperature controlled (it’s food, so it’s cold!) facilities.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet).
