Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated, dynamic Point of Sale (POS)Technician to join our team. As a POS Technician, you are responsible for both Software and Hardware and will play a crucial role in customer & sales support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering customer support, a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities :

1. Technical Support :

a. Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users experiencing issues with our Point of Sale software.

b. Diagnose and troubleshoot software-related problems, escalating issues when necessary for advanced resolution.

2. Installation and Configuration :

a. Assist clients with the installation and configuration of our POS software, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.

b. Collaborate with other teams to customize and tailor the software to meet specific client needs.

c. On-site service is required.

3. Software Updates and Maintenance :

a. Stay informed about the latest software updates and ensure clients are using the most current versions.

b. Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize software performance and security.

4. Documentation :

a. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting, installation procedures, and best practices.

b. Train end-users on software functionalities and provide user manuals as needed.

5. Quality Assurance :

a. Collaborate with the development team to identify and report software bugs, ensuring prompt resolution.

b. Conduct thorough testing of new software releases to guarantee stability and functionality.

6. Customer Communication :

a. Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers to update them on the status of their support requests.

b. Provide friendly and professional customer service, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support or a similar role, preferably with Point of Sale software.
  • Strong knowledge of POS hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and SQL – An asset Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Reliable vehicle required & drivers license
