We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager - Grocery to join our sales team. This hybrid role is based in Toronto and will report to the Director of Sales - Ontario. ResponsibilitiesWork closely with key customer personnel to develop solutions that meet Shopper, Category, and Operational needs. Negotiate and deliver customer performance against business fundamentals (e.g., Distribution, Shelf, Price, Promotion, and Display) for Moosehead and Partner brands. Ensure clear and timely communication to the Sales and Cross-Functional teams across Moosehead to enable strong execution. Deliver annual sales and margin targets consistent with the Ontario market business plan. Use data and insights to regularly assess performance against business fundamentals and develop plans to close any identified gaps. Regularly assess performance against business fundamentals and collaborate with the Director of Sales to address any gaps. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (Director of Sales, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Finance, and Operations) to develop and execute Annual Customer Business Plans. Manage the Key Account budget through regular tracking and reporting of spends by brand, activity, and Key Account. Work closely with the field Sales Team through regular (minimum 2 times per month) in-field ride-along to better understand issues and challenges, as well as current types and levels of competitor activity. Partner with Marketing, Commercial Analytics, and Sales Support for post-evaluation analysis of the performance of executed plans and programs. Collaborate and assist Supply Chain teams with forecasting promotional items and new listings. Be curious and use that curiosity to identify new opportunities to strengthen our business and customer relationships. QualificationsExperience within the Beverage Alcohol industry and / or CPG Sales / Category Management experience Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Proven record of building volume and margin with assigned retailers Working exposure to discipline of Revenue Management Goal oriented, sets high standards, holds self-accountable, focuses on the results with demonstrated ability of meeting objectives Demonstrated and consistent use of a disciplined sales process with customers Competence in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools : Excel Pivot Tables, Powerpoint, Word Ability to quickly rise to Subject Matter Expert status in Moosehead's defined sales process, with ability to transfer a strong foundation in this sales process to new hires Own a reliable vehicle & hold a valid driver's license Ability to travel and work flexible hours which may include some evenings and weekends Post-secondary graduate in Business or a related field About Moosehead Breweries LimitedMoosehead Breweries is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians.
