Location : Various locations across Nova Scotia
The Grant Writer is responsible for researching writing and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for the organization s programs and initiatives. This role involves working closely with program staff to develop compelling proposals that align with funders priorities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Research potential grant opportunities from foundations corporations and government agencies.
- Write and submit highquality grant proposals and applications.
- Develop budgets and supporting documentation for grant proposals.
- Maintain a calendar of grants deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and grant officers.
- Track and report on the status of submitted grants.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop proposal content.

Bachelor s degree in English, communications, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising. Strong research, writing, and editing skills. Ability to develop budgets and financial reports. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in grant management software and databases.
