The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture has an Intern Extension Agrologist position available for a recent graduate looking to develop and expand their knowledge of the agriculture industry and deliver on the extension priorities within Regional Services branch.
The Intern Extension Agrologist will work on initiatives and projects to support the transfer of information and technology to farmers, ranchers, and the agriculture industry. As the successful candidate, you will plan and implement extension activities, provide service and information to clients and work on special projects. The focus of this position will include, but not be limited to supporting extension initiatives related to crop production and management practices and promotion of new and emerging technologies. This is a unique opportunity to develop your technical skills, expand your network of contacts, work with experienced agrologists and gain experience in government.
To qualify, you must have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in agriculture within the last three years, have less than three years’ work experience since completing your degree, possess knowledge of the agriculture industry, and have the ability to be registered as a Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists as defined by The Agrologists Act.
