About the Company

Our client is a multi-asset real estate investment company. They are looking for a Fund Controller who will be responsible for financial reporting, budgets & forecasts, capital management, financial and investment returns analysis, managing the external audit process, and financial internal control activities for various funds.

Responsible for the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal and external financial records

Responsible for ongoing improvements of financial discipline and accounting controls, implementation of effective accounting systems, strategies, policies and procedures

Liaise with property and development managers on matters such as monthly / quarterly / annual reporting; review and analyze results, providing guidance where needed

Leads the preparation of the annual budget including development and stabilized property investment proformas and consolidated capital and profit and loss forecasts for the funds. Directs and evaluates the funds' fiscal performance against budget

Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and year end market valuation reports and calculation of returns

Oversight of internal and external financial audits

Periodic ad hoc analysis including due diligence around prospective target investments and divestitures, and review of statement of adjustments

Liaise with financing partners and investors and provide reporting catered to their individual needs. Assist with financing renewals and mortgage assumptions

Compliance reporting including GST / HST / QST

Reviewing and / or preparing of capital calls, distributions

Assist with the preparation of presentation materials and data and present various financial results at annual board meetings and offsite meetings About You

CPA Designation

6-8 Years of combined public accounting and industry experience

Experience in working with or for real estate organizations a benefit Salary Range

115,000 - $130,000 / year
