Job Description

-Driving the catering delivery truck to assigned areas and delivering food items. (Hot and cold food items, hot and cold beverages)

-Moving Heavy items. Candidate should be capable of lifting/carrying 50lbs. This is a physically demanding position.

-Doing catering setups and tear-downs. (setting Buffets and Place Settings)

-Dealing with clients. This is a front line customer service position and the successful applicant will be responsible to communicate with clients while performing deliveries.

-Following a schedule and adhering to strict timelines.

-Completing all assigned tasks in a timely fashion

-Communicating with direct Managers and Supervisors in a timely manner while out on the deliveries.

-Follow Provincial, STFX and Sodexo vehicle safety policies.

-Responsible for daily vehicle inspections and reporting issues with catering vehicles to manager.

-Utility tasks additional to deliveries, cleaning & organizing work areas, garbage removal, etc.

Qualifications

You are a dynamic and reliable person; you have good communication and interpersonal skills. Your schedule is flexible, and you have good analytical and decision-making skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.

-Must possess a valid Driver’s License without restrictions.

-Must be able to work independently. This position requires the employee to work without direct supervision.

-Must be able to follow timelines to complete assigned tasks.

-Must be able to lift/ carry a minimum of 50lbs.

-The successful candidate should be able to perform duties on a truck with a tail gate lift, moving food carts and hot food containers in all weather conditions.

You will be required to drive a company vehicle to transport staff, visitors or customers as well as merchandise or equipment. You will be required to deliver, load and unload products, food or equipment, store or set up delivered items. In addition, you will be required to maintain driver logs and submit billing forms to designated representatives, collect receipts and follow all Sodexo, client and regulatory policies. You will also be required to monitor the appearance, operation, maintenance and repairs of the vehicle.
