The Senior Insurance Advisor is a technically skilled, client-focused broker who supports the delivery of exceptional service and accurate coverage on assigned accounts, working in partnership with Account Managers and Account Executives in alignment with HUB's service standards.
This is an in-office role.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a client-facing advisor on assigned accounts, working in partnership with Account Managers and Account Executives to deliver service, write new business and execute on account strategy
- Service assigned accounts and contribute to new business in alignment with HUB's service standards
- Participate in formal account reviews and Critical Path meetings
- Gather client data, build submissions in PolicyWorks or EPIC and prepare comprehensive rate comparisons
- Identify coverage gaps, negotiate rates and terms with underwriters and present terms to the client or to the Account Executive
- Bind coverage and issue cover notes
- Prepare and process all account documentation in accordance with HUB workflows, including:Certificates of InsuranceCover notesSummaries and proposalsNew business, renewals and endorsementsPremium finance contractsInvoicing
- Maintain complete and accurate electronic files in EPIC, PolicyWorks and Certificate Exchange/CSR24
- Attach all client instructions, bind orders and marketing correspondence in EPIC
- Assist with managing and collecting accounts receivable
- Support account reconciliation in collaboration with the accounting team
- Support ongoing learning and development of new team members
- Maintain ongoing professional development to enhance technical expertise
- Protect HUB from errors and omissions through diligence and accuracy
- Review and prioritize daily tasks, including activities and emails
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other branch departments as needed to ensure clients receive comprehensive support
- Make client visits and conduct relationship-building activities
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of commercial insurance experience
- Level 2 General Insurance License (BC)
- Industry designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, or CRM)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Superior client service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative client-focused environment
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred:
Experience in transportation insurance
