Role & Responsibilities :
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closeout of nuclear refurbishment projects ranging from $50M to $1B+.
Oversee all aspects of project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestone charts, progress reports, and cost forecasts.
Interface with internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities as may be required to ensure alignment and compliance.
Provide direction to the team, including (but not limited to) those working within Project Controls, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning.
Ensure adherence to nuclear safety protocols and CNSC regulatory requirements as well as project governance processes, including gate reviews, change control, and reporting to senior leadership.
Mentor and support junior team managers to build internal project delivery capacity.
Actively contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and knowledge management Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) preferred.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management training.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in capital project management, with at least 5 years in nuclear or complex infrastructure refurbishment projects.
Proven experience in managing large-scale refurbishment or EPC projects within the energy sector.
Working knowledge of nuclear power plant standards, nuclear regulatory frameworks, and QA / QC procedures.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost management platforms (e.g., EcoSys, Prism).
Ability to work on-site at OPG Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and travel as required for stakeholder engagement
