As one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for an independent and self-driven Account Manager – Food Service who rolls up their sleeves and works as a team.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager – Food Service is responsible for helping develop and execute sales initiatives while collaborating with other team members and business units. You will also be a strategic partner for our customers, providing high customer service and working with them to ensure their daily produce needs are met. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
FEET ON THE STREET
- Conduct ongoing customer visitations to identify sales opportunities, pricing audits, forge relationships and communicate issues to management
- Establish a diverse customer base and introduce our product lines, whole and fresh-cut
- Analyze the market's potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers.
- Provide a 90-day planning schedule to identify tasks, visitations and conduct tactics
- Negotiate price by having a keen awareness of market pricing, supply, and quality of items
- Develop new produce pack items, particularly fresh-cut items, and promote activities
- Assist the sales teams in customer development and scheduled joint customer visits
