Job descriptionRecruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team while fostering a positive, goal-oriented culture. Develop a team structure that clearly defines roles and responsibilities while encouraging collaboration and open communication. Establish regional territories and manage sales cycles for each geographic area under your purview. Define and monitor team goals, pipeline progression, and individual performance measures, with a particular focus on accountability and transparency. Leverage data analytics to track and report on sales performance, ensuring team objectives are aligned with broader organizational goals. Regularly evaluate sales metrics (e.g., revenue growth, client acquisition rates, contract renewal rates) and adjust plans to ensure targets are met. Collect and analyze market intelligence to better understand customer pain points, emerging technologies, and competitor dynamics. Utilize feedback from public sector clients to strengthen company offerings and create innovative, tailored solutions for various traffic management challenges. Coordinate closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies, client needs, and project implementation timelines. Provide critical customer insights to aid in the development of new products or solution enhancements. Experience : Minimum 5–7 years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in selling to public sector clients (e.g., municipal governments, provincial agencies, or federal transportation bodies). Industry Knowledge : Strong familiarity with traffic management solutions, transportation technologies, or related industries (e.g., ITS, construction, consulting to public agencies). Leadership Skills : Ability to build and lead effective, motivated teams distributed across different regions. Sales Metrics Expertise : Exceptional analytical skills with experience in setting up and optimizing KPIs for teams. Strategic Relationship Builder : Proficiency in networking within the public sector, experience with RFPs, and comfort navigating long sales cycles commonly associated with governmental contracts. Communication : Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver complex solution proposals to public officials and other stakeholders. Travel : Willingness to travel extensively within Canada to meet with regional teams and clients as needed. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with public procurement processes and knowledge of Canadian government funding mechanisms for infrastructure projects. Familiarity with public policy frameworks and standards related to traffic management (e.g., smart city regulations, safety compliance). Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
