About this opportunity :

The Corporate Accounting team has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic Financial Analyst to join the team. This position is accountable for the general & administrative (‘G&A’) cost allocation process and related reporting requirements, accounting for the long-term incentive (‘LTI’) trust, and ensuring SOX compliance across these areas.

The analyst will partner closely with business stakeholders and planning groups to establish and validate allocation rates and to report monthly landed results. In addition, the role provides support to internal audit, corporate planning, and stewardship reporting teams.

What you’ll do :

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals for the LTI Trust account, including data validation and accuracy checks.

Perform trust account reconciliations and investigate variances as required.

Manage the G&A allocation process, including monthly clearing checks, quarterly rate collection, SAP uploads, and responding to SOX compliance and audit requests.

Produce and analyze financial reporting for allocated landed G&A

Load and validate the allocated landed G&A data into the Spotfire reporting tool

Complete account reconciliations in accordance with corporate accounting standards

Maintain and update G&A cost center master data

Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting allocation processes.

Who you are :

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with demonstrated Corporate Accounting experience.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or finance or relevant field

CPA designation is required.

Working knowledge of SAP

Highly organized, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to deliver time-sensitive materials in a fast-paced environment.
