Your opportunity :
As a Financial Assistant, you will be working closely with various departments across UTM to ensure business transactions are alignedwith the general accepted accounting principles, the University’s financial and purchasing guidelines as well as funding policies. You will bring a strong understanding of financial management, analysis and auditing, and a high degree of professionalism and customer service to facilitate the achievement of these goals.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Recording detailed transactions for many accounts
- Preparing and / or processing journal entries
- Generating standard financial reports
- Applying the University Guide to Financial Management and other applicable policies, agency and regulatory requirements
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of information
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Identifying and resolving individual financial discrepancies
