Position Overview
As a Tax Advisor, you will meet with FBC Members in their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. In addition, you will introduce them to our full range of services, including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This includes support in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management, as their needs arise.
This is a client‑facing, impact‑driven role ideal for professionals who are dedicated to building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. We’re driven by a commitment to supporting those who work tirelessly to power our economy and strengthen our communities!
This position is based out of our FBC Saskatoon location. You will be required to check in on‑site occasionally as required. This is a travel‑based role requiring in‑person visits with Members at their place of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.
- Review and file complex personal (T1) and corporate (T2) income tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a variety of clients, including farm and small business owners.
- Meet with members in their place of business and maintain strong client relationships as a primary contact for key accounts.
- Conduct Member reviews.
- Support seasonal and year‑round reconciliations and filings, including GST / HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.
- Foster strong relationships with Members and secure Member referrals.
- Recognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.
