Brunel are currently partnered with a large midstream firm on the recruitment of a Regulatory Advisor.
Responsibilities :
- Regulatory Strategy :
Develop and implement a robust regulatory strategy to secure project approvals in alignment with corporate objectives.
Prepare, coordinate, and manage major regulatory applications and amendments for federal and provincial regulatory processes.
Oversee and review environmental surveys, impact assessments, and third-party consultant deliverables to support regulatory submissions.
Evaluate potential impacts and recommend mitigation strategies that align with regulatory, Indigenous, and corporate goals.
Create and maintain a commitment tracking system to monitor regulatory obligations.
Develop and maintain a risk register throughout the regulatory process to proactively address challenges.
Develop schedules and manage budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective submission of regulatory applications.
Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-disciplinary team without direct reporting authority.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (environment, operations, engineering, legal, commercial, and stakeholder relations) and external stakeholders.
Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure efficient review and approval of submissions, leveraging existing professional relationships.
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and policy changes to ensure organizational compliance and process adaptability.
Facilitate mentorship opportunities to support team development in the regulatory field.
