Duties and Responsibilities - Counsellor, Exercise
- Responsible for demonstrating proper instruction to customers with respect to correct technique and use of exercise equipment.
- Responsible for enforcing fitness etiquette rules and guidelines posted.
- Assist customer service with facility tours, provide direction, and clear all applicable areas in emergency situations.
- Perform daily safety inspections, inventories and cleaning duties.
- Responsible for checking wristbands for select fitness classes as needed.
- Provide emergency first-aid when required.
- Provides Fitness Starters (45 mins) to members who have signed up.
- Counsellor will show select cardio and strength exercises, takes blood pressure, heart rate and will provide quality customer service and act as a knowledgeable resource to participants.

Skills and Qualifications
Hourly Rate / Salary : $22.61 - $24.85 (Exercise Counsellor) & $28.34 - $37.78 (Personal Trainer, Fitness)
Hours of Work : up to 24
Work Location : Various Community Centre locations throughout Mississauga
Department / Division / Section : CMS / Community Services Dept , CMS / Recreation Division , Aquatics, Therapeutic & Fitness
Non-Union / Union : Non Union
