Job descriptionCollaborating with the Business Development team, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to create unique client events and experiences, including seminars, receptions, dinners, and special events, while supporting tradeshows, conferences, and sponsorships Managing events and seminars end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, logistics, creative aspects, on-site support, and post-event reporting Supporting diversity and inclusion-focused affinity group events Coordinating virtual and hybrid seminars Managing Vancouver sporting and entertainment ticket allocations and logistics Sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining strong vendor and venue relationships Assisting with invitation list management Developing critical paths, day-of-event schedules, and run sheets Collaborating with Creative Services and Marketing and Tech. teams to draft promotional materials and invitations Supporting annual internal business meetings Staying current on industry trends to enhance event processes Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent, or a college diploma focused on marketing and / or events Minimum of five years of corporate event experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered) Outgoing, adaptable, and calm under pressure Flexible with working hours, including before / after office hours and weekends Strong organizational, logistical, and planning skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Creative thinking and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CMS

Our client, one of Canada's largest and most successful law firms, is currently seeking an Event Specialist to join their Client Relations & Marketing department in the Vancouver office.
As part of the Vancouver Marketing team and reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Business Development, this role involves planning and executing a variety of client-facing and internal events and seminars that align with business development objectives.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary : $65,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience
