Bosch GroupMississauga, Ontario, CanadaThis is a full time permanent position located in our Mississauga facility. Responsible for the implementation administration interpretation and enforcement of Safety Environmental and Facilities requirements including corporate local provincial and federal regulations at the Bosch Mississauga Facility. Establish safety & environmental standards based on risk / hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE KPIs & management systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001). Work is conducted primarily onsite (minimum 4 days per week).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved in all aspects of planning leading and controlling inputs and outputs for the HSE program.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and codes related to building safety and maintenance.
- Prepare and conduct HSE training. Ensure associate training requirements are planned and maintained.
- Administer Powered Industrial Truck Training Process.
- Prepare HSE and Facilities related communications including training and safety alerts.
- Coordinate with vendors contractors and property managers to ensure safe and timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. This includes landscaping custodial services appliances building systems and security services.
- Maintain Contractor HSE Qualification Process documentation. Conduct Contractor HSE briefings and monitor work to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Monitor and support facility access and safety protocols including security systems and protocols emergency alarm systems.
- Submit HSE and Facilities related reports to Governments Bosch etc. for compliance and sustainability.
- Ensure internal safety and facility inspections / audits are scheduled completed and updated as required.
- Lead / support sustainability projects to reduce water energy waste and associated costs.
- Purchase HSE / Facilities related items such as PPE cleaning supplies and safety equipment.
- Lead / participate in incident investigation facilitating root cause analysis and proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and participate on site emergency response teams. Arrange emergency drills such as Shelter in Place Fire Evacuation Drills etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tenants and other stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Participate in the development of longterm plans for facility maintenance upgrades and improvements including budget development and management.
- Conduct hazard assessments of equipment / jobs to ensure they meet all applicable requirements.
- Conduct formal reviews of new equipment equipment modifications building or process changes. Support completion of action items and open points related to these reviews.
- Maintain consistent shopfloor presence to interact with associates regarding Safety and Facilities topics.
- Maintain data and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory requirements and sustainability reporting
- Act as point of contact for purchases of chemicals and maintain site Safety Data Sheets along with chemical inventory.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site safety teams and 5S activities.
- Interact with local government agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with CCOHS EPA and other regulatory agencies requirements.
- Contribute to Bosch HSE and FCM teams in North America through project teams and internal auditing.
- Conduct daily Safety walks review meetings and development of action plan with leaders.
- HSE Audits preparation.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Work Instructions (WI)
- Scheduling Monthly HSE Inspections.
- Coordinate / develop corrective and preventive actions to address HSE Inspection Findings.
- Maintain Record and storage for Chemical / Flammable Products List.
- Maintain MSDS Sheets.
- Coordinate Dangerous Good training and maintenance of the program.
- Investigate Incidents and ensure followup actions are completed.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance and reporting with all federal and provincial Extended Producer Responsibility programs across all Bosch business units.
- Risk Assessments to be completed for areas and vendor safety compliance assessments.
- Act as a JHSC committee member and Emergency Response Team Member.
- Assist & support the Facilities department in any aspect from office services / indirect purchasing / maintenance coordination security reporting etc.
