About the Opportunity
Our growing Edmonton office is looking to add a passionate Environmental Consultant to our team. Do you want to play a role in integrating environmental components on a wide range of projects and finding balanced solutions to further the importance of sustainability, conservation, biodiversity, and natural processes in our work?

- Completing desktop environmental assessments to support feasibility studies for infrastructure, development, and economic development projects.
- Coordinating regulatory approvals required by local, provincial, and federal agencies. These can include changes in Project Description screening, DFO notifications, AEP watercourse crossing notifications, etc.
- Conducting field assessments like bird sweeps, wetland assessments / delineations, monitoring of contractor compliance for fish salvage, creek isolation, sediment control
- Quality assurance reviews for contractor environmental control and operations plans, environment and sediment control plans, etc.
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning through the ongoing achievement of personal and professional goals.
- Be a champion for the environment and our team, within and outside of Urban Systems.
About You
Our preferred candidate will be a graduate of a Biology, Natural Resource Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline bachelor's degree program with 3-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be eligible for professional registration as an Agrologist or Biologist in Alberta. The core skills that will help you succeed here include :
