Entry level penetration tester Jobs in Surrey, BC

We are on the lookout for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Mgt industry, based in Burnaby, British Columbia. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting duties, including maintaining balance sheets, assisting with month-end close, and handling intercompany transactions. This role presents a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities :

• Handle the tracking and administration of company loans, leases, and prepaid accounts
• Efficiently prepare monthly General Ledger entries and aid with the month-end closing process
• Import checks from RECY / FIBU, and post Cashboxes and Settlements in Recy
• Assist the Treasury accountant with Bank reconciliations for all yards
• Process intercompany transactions and adjustments, as well as Monthly End foreign exchange transactions
• Perform ATM reconciliations and maintain balance sheets accounts
• Respond to Payment / receipt inquiries and be responsible for making tax installment payments
• Prepare receipt reports and undertake general accounting responsibilities to contribute to the overall workflow of the department
• Utilize various accounting software systems, including Dynamics NAV and Sage 300, and tools like Adobe Acrobat for efficient execution of tasks
• Conduct account analysis, accounting entries, and account reconciliation, and manage Accounts Payable (AP) function.
• Minimum of two years of detail-oriented experience in accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Account Coding, ensuring accurate categorization and tracking of financial data
• Demonstrated experience in using Accounting Software Systems for efficient financial management
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat for document management and editing
• Experience with Dynamics NAV, understanding its functionalities and applications in accounting
• Knowledge of ERP Solutions, with the ability to integrate and utilize them for better financial management
• Ability to perform Account Analysis, interpreting financial data to inform business decisions
• Experience in making Accounting Entries, ensuring they are accurate and timely
• Understanding of various Accounting Functions and their roles in the overall financial management of an organization
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all payments are made on time and accurately recorded
• Knowledge of Sage 300, and its application in managing and streamlining accounting tasks
