Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Maintenance Person. Your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director, Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Follow policies, procedures and service standards
  • Respond to all calls as efficiently as possible from all departments within the hotel
  • Troubleshoot issues using trade support, source material found on line or in owner manuals
  • Complete preventative maintenance/work order tickets assigned
  • Respond to all emergency/fire alarm/ loss of power calls as required
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe condition and safe operation of all equipment before use
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies including documentation as required
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Related maintenance experience required
  • High School completion required
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License required
  • Technical School completion an asset
  • Level 1 Pool Certification an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point)
  • Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing carpentry and general maintenance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Responsible and able to complete work without supervision

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
