Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Scheduler Dispatcher to join our client's team in Hamilton, ON. This is a temporary position offering a competitive salary of $24 per hour. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, dispatching, and customer service, with a strong ability to manage data entry and work under pressure.

Pay rate : $24 / hour.
Location : Hamilton, ON
Shifts : Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm
Job type : Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities :

Answering phone, receiving / sorting mail and responding to email

Receiving / assisting public, deliveries, community partners and staff coming to pick up orders, supplies or drop off out of province proof of vaccination paperwork

Assisting with assembling supplies for harm reduction kits (i.e. following written instructions, assembling needed supplies, putting required items in a bag, tracking of number of bags completed)

Assistance with stocking copy and supply rooms

Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Previous communications / dispatching experience related to duties listed above normally acquired through a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Superior telephone manners with good voice quality, diction, and articulation. Good listening skills with demonstrated ability to assess urgency of emergency and non-emergency calls.

A technical knowledge or previous understanding of two-way radio systems.

Possess demonstrated exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills, gained through practical experience working in a customer service environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to relate to the public, staff, elected officials and other municipalities in a pleasant and courteous manner.

Demonstrated ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level. Must be able to input data quickly and accurately.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team using tact, good judgment and initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
