Job Description
Journeyperson / Journeyman Electrician Solar Installer
Location : Calgary, Alberta
Salary : Starting at $39.50 per hour, with an increase to $40-$41 after 3 months. Additional salary adjustments may be available through annual performance reviews
Employment Type : Full-time, Permanent with a 44-hour work week
Work Schedule : Compressed work week (Monday-Thursday), with optional overtime available.

Position Overview :
Our client is seeking certified Journeyperson Electricians to join their team in Calgary. This is a brand-new position created due to rapid company growth. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, energetic, personable, and possess great leadership skills. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-growing company within the solar industry, with potential for career advancement to a crew lead position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install solar electric systems on residential and commercial buildings, as well as ground mount projects.
- Ensure crew and job site safety, including proper use of PPE and Fall Protection.
- Lead quality installations based on system design and specifications.
- Distribute materials and solar modules throughout the site.
- Use hand tools to install racking and modular components.
- Mentor and lead pre-indentured and 1st / 2nd year apprentices.
- Provide friendly service to all customers.
