About the Position
This position requires the electrician to perform various electrical maintenance tasks in a food manufacturing plant. The candidate must have good electrical and mechanical knowledge, as well as good experience with programmable logic controllers. This position is under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Attention to detail with good verbal and written skills
Install conduit and wiring
Install a wide variety of electrical devices and control circuits
Repair / rebuild / troubleshoot / perform upgrades to electrical equipment
Read logic diagrams and understand the operating principles of programmable logic controllers
Solve PLC and instrumentation problems
Perform preventive maintenance and work orders
Demonstrate excellent mechanical and electrical skills in troubleshooting
Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all electrical and electronic equipment and tools
Perform other duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
Good communication / interpersonal skills
Possess a marked aptitude for problem solving and diagnosis
In-depth knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment
Knowledge of frequency converters, instrumentation and calibration
Ability to solve problems and good judgment
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills (bilingual)
Computer skills : Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Education or Work Experience
Hold a non-construction electrician qualification (License C)
Hold a college diploma (DEC) in Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control
Knowledge of PLC and HMI Rockwell
Have experience in an industrial environment, ideally in instrumentation
Additional Information
Follow ADM's health and safety standards and report any unsafe behaviors or conditions
Work in accordance with local / provincial legislation
Responds to emergency service calls, weekdays and weekends, when required by operations
He / she will have the ability to climb stairs, lift certain loads (up to 25 kg), work standing or sitting for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, work at heights, not suffer from vertigo and be able to bend or kneel to reach certain rooms
Must be able to work in a variety of environments that may be low or high temperatures or in locations requiring respirators
