AtkinsRealis is currently looking Electrical Engineers to join our engineering team in Pickering, Ontario. Reporting to the Director of Retube Tooling Design, the Electrical Engineer would support one of the various Refurbishment or New build projects on the Retube Tooling team. This candidate will be responsible for executing commercial and internal work packages and projects, with respect to machine design including other closely related disciplines.

This role will be based in Pickering, ON.

Your role within the team :

• Perform conceptual and / or detailed design of Candu electrical / I&C systems and modifications thereof, including definition of system functional and performance requirements and control algorithms, definition of control logic and wiring arrangements, control parameters, setpoints, instrument ranges and environmental qualification and seismic qualification.
• Perform specification, sizing, and selection for various types of I&C components, Power Distribution and produce component / system related documentation including assessment documents, setpoint calculations, error analyses, technical specifications, etc.
• Update and / or prepare Electrical Engineering design documents including design requirements, design description, elementary diagrams, functional specifications, etc., together with the supporting analysis / assessment documents and other design basis documents.
• Provide input to the drawing office for the preparation of various electrical related engineering drawings such as general arrangement drawings, instrument loop diagrams, wiring and connection diagrams, bills of materials, etc.
• Provide or update wiring and technical design input to computerized wiring programs.
• Interface with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, and other areas of the company.
• Assist in providing responses to technical enquiries from design review teams and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in providing technical support to engineering groups at site.
• Deliver technical presentations accurately and effectively.
• Manage assigned work effectively, including prioritizing, executing, managing schedule and budget, and reporting, to meet project goals.
