Salary Comment : The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

Title : Executive Director, Office of the Chief Nursing & Allied Health Officer (ED OCNAHO)

Salary : $141,038 - $165,927 - $190,817 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract : Permanent

Hours : 8 : 30am – 4 : 30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Monday-Friday)

Location : Park Royal Office, West Vancouver. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About the Role

In this role, the Executive Director, Office of the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer will provide strategic, senior level support to the Vice President, Quality and Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer (CNAHO). This role encompasses collaboration with Provincial Nursing and Allied Health Services leadership, Provincial, and Regional Nursing Services. Holding delegated authority and line responsibility, the Executive Director oversees the effective delivery of FNHA’s Provincial Nursing and Allied Health Services across British Columbia, ensuring excellence in nursing, allied health, and clinical operations.

This opportunity has become open as the incumbent has recently been promoted to the role of FNHA’s VP, Quality and Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer!

The Executive Director will also provide leadership that creates and fosters a healthy and engaging environment that enables personal excellence, contributes to FNHA’s vision of “Health through Wellness” and cultural safety and humility in the workplace.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in an applicable clinical professional discipline;
  • At least 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in leadership in an academic health sciences environment, including experience with general administration and hospital operations;
  • Current or eligible for practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing and Midwives (BCCNM) and / or :
  • Current full registration with a recognized Allied Health college or association, as applicable to the profession;
  • Relevant, recent and significant experience providing leadership to and partnering with senior level management on projects and initiatives (normally acquired over 15 years or more of related work);
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience at a senior management level in health planning and services (usually acquired over a period of 15 or more years);
  • Significant, recent and relevant experience working within BC’s health care system (usually acquired after a minimum of 10 years of experience);
  • Experience providing advice and recommendations regarding mental health, wellness and primary care initiatives to practitioners and clients;
  • Experience responding to health emergencies in a trauma informed practice approach;
  • Experience working with First Nations communities or organizations in the area of health and wellness;
  • Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical leadership development programs;
  • Knowledge of public and primary care health models and concepts.
