Job description
Our client, is launching a high-profile digital transformation initiative consisting of five major strategic workstreams. We are seeking a seasoned E-commerce Business Analyst to step in as the lead BA for the E-commerce DXP Enablement workstream.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in transitioning traditional marketing-only websites into robust, fully functional transactional e-commerce platforms. You will act as the vital, independent bridge connecting Business Stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Technical Development/Test teams to redefine the brand's digital customer experience.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (With a high likelihood of extension)

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the Mississauga, ON office preferred; the manager is open to fewer days in-office for the right candidate)

Advantages
High-Visibility Digital Transformation: Play a defining leadership role in a major multi-workstream enterprise program changing a national brand's digital landscape.

Long-Term Stability: Secure an initial 6-month contract with an incredibly strong pipeline and high probability for ongoing extensions.

Flexible Hybrid Footprint: Benefit from an accommodating schedule with a manager open to adjusting in-office requirements for top-tier talent.

Complex Problem Solving: Own intricate functional logic domains, from geo-location product assignment to advanced customer journey routing.

Responsibilities
Discovery & Journey Mapping: Lead the comprehensive project discovery phase by meticulously mapping out current-state business processes and designing future-state customer journeys (e.g., postal code-driven product assortment and store selection logic).

Requirement Elicitation: Elicit, refine, and document business and functional requirements into highly specific, actionable User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.

Architecture & Dev Liaison: Partner closely with Solution Architects to ensure design patterns satisfy business intent. Serve as the primary, go-to functional expert for engineering teams to clarify details throughout the sprint cycles.

QA & Traceability: Review automated and manual test scripts generated by the QA team to guarantee 1:1 traceability back to core requirements, providing strategic guidance on high-impact areas for testing.

Stakeholder Navigation: Autonomously navigate, align, and manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders across both Business and IT lines without requiring extensive oversight or hand-holding.

Qualifications
Experience: 8–10 years of progressive Business Analysis experience (Intermediate to Senior level), with a strong pedigree in the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors.

E-commerce Domain Expertise: Deep, verified understanding of e-commerce web portals, including complex underlying logic like discovery engines, dynamic product assortment, and geographic-based pricing/availability.

Hybrid Methodologies: Expert-level proficiency working within Agile delivery squads (generating stories/backlogs) that sit inside a broader enterprise Waterfall governance structure.

Technical Literacy: Strong ability to hold meaningful, peer-level architectural conversations with Solution Architects, Tech Leads, and Engineering teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills: * Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or adjacent ecosystems.

Familiarity with Omni-channel fulfillment strategies (e.g., BOPIS, ship-from-store).

Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

Past success delivering digital platforms for major Tier-1 enterprise retailers.

Summary
If you are a self-directed E-commerce Business Analyst who excels at turning ambiguous marketing landscapes into transactional powerhouses, this project offers the scale and visibility you are looking for. Bring your retail background and sophisticated customer journey mapping skills to a team executing one of the largest digital rollouts of the year!
