Job description

For a warehouse in Bathurst New Brunswick. This position is ideal for a calm, safety-conscious person. The main role involves loading and unloading a wide variety of goods of various sizes and weights. You'll spend most of your time operating a forklift, but must also be able to lift loads of up to 75 lbs.

Previous loading and unloading experience (at least 2years) and a valid forklift license are essential.

Schedule : Afternoon Shift

Monday to Friday 2PM to 10.30PM

access to the location is not served by bus during the weekend. MUST own a car.

Steel toed shoes and vest required.

Responsibilities

Responsabilities of the forklift driver :

  • Loading and unloading : Handling freight in and out of trailers. Products come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
  • Forklift operation : Perform 75% of tasks using a forklift. Must have a valid license and previous experience in LTL loading and unloading.
  • Manual handling : Perform 25% of lifting tasks, with the ability to regularly lift weights of 50 to 75 pounds (approximately 23 to 34 kg).
  • Safety : Maintain a safe work environment and cooperate with the team. Compliance with safety rules is paramount.

    • Qualifications

    The forklift driver must :

  • have a valid external forklift license
  • have previous experience in LTL loading and unloading
  • be able to lift 75 pounds
  • hazardous goods certification (an asset)
