Technical Support Specialist
Vidir Solutions is a leading manufacturer and worldwide supplier of vertical motorized storage carousels and display systems.
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that exceptional technical and mechanical support is provided to all customers so that the product operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely, in the field. They will provide support and expertise to the customer to solve, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems of every Vidir product.
This position is an on-site role at our Arborg, Manitoba facility and is not an IT related role.
Responsibilities :
Advanced technical troubleshooting with Vidir customers calling in to resolve concerns related to their equipment. They will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues over the phone or by email, and provide necessary feedback to aid the end user in rectifying problems.
Ensure timely and organized service by collaborating with service partners for seamless execution.
Communicating the appropriate information to the parts and shipping departments to ensure appropriate parts are delivered to the customer.
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions, service requests, and technician actions. Prepare and update reports summarizing support activities and outcomes.
Implement preventative maintenance programs for new and existing customers.
Providing high quality customer service that aligns with Vidir’s service and quality standards.
Qualifications :
1-3 years’ experience in the service industry
Experience troubleshooting HMI and electrical / mechanical machine interfacing
ERP software experience.
Good oral, writing, and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
High Emotional Intelligence
Proficient with computers and the ability to manage new software programs.
Trades certificate in a mechanical or electrical related field or a Diploma / certificate as an electrical or mechanical technician / technologist would be preferred.
