We are looking to welcome a hard-working and sales-driven District Sales Manager, Alberta (Edmonton based) to manage the sales activities within an assigned district and ensure that company sales goals are achieved. The district sales managers responsibilities include identifying professional development opportunities for sales employees, encouraging positive employee relations, and continually sourcing new sales opportunities for base business. You should also be able to set and meet reasonable sales targets to be achieved by the district sales team, ensuring accountability throughout the group.

To be successful as a District Sales Manager, you should be able to keep abreast of evolving market trends and consumer needs. Ultimately, an exceptional District Sales Manager should be able to work well under pressure as well as demonstrate excellent team management, communication, and customer service skills.

District Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 7 Account and Key account managers based in Calgary and Edmonton, AB.
  • Actively recruit, train, and lead group of sales professionals in the field and virtually.
  • Expectation of 3 days per week joining Account Managers in client facing environments,once per month overnight visits to Calgary branch.
  • Building and sustaining solid relationships with customers including support of team client reviews, contract resigns, etc.
  • Supporting launches and providing regular feedback to the Regional Sales Manager on company marketing and product development needs as well as pricing recommendations.
  • Developing and managing effective sales strategies to maximize company sales and profitability.
  • Conducting and managing employee performance evaluations.
  • Researching and monitoring market trends, competitors' sales activities, and consumer needs.
  • Completing sales reports and submitting them to upper management for review including sales forecasting.
  • Analyzing sales metrics and market trends to adapt or modify sales strategies and approaches accordingly.
  • Assisting in the development of marketing campaigns that are designed to expand brand recognition and highlight the benefits of company products and services.

Total Rewards:

CAD $86,.00 - $, annually.

Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors. Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility.   • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Min. 5 years of experience managing a sales team.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • The ability to multitask and to work well under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and consultative sales skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Frequent business travel required (+40%)
