Working as an integral part of the Nexwsp’áyaḵen ta Smets’álḵen Kw’áxwa7 Information Technology Deapartment, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Corporate Services, The Director of Information Technology and Information Systems (ITIS) will lead Squamish Nation’s IT initiatives to drive technological advancement, modernization, and strategic alignment with the Nation’s values, culture, and long-term objectives. This role is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT operations, ensuring that Squamish Nation’s technology infrastructure is secure, scalable, and capable of supporting the Nation’s growing range of complex services, which include education, language preservation, health services, welfare, and land stewardship. This role will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of the Nation's IT infrastructure and services, oversee strategic IT planning, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and service delivery while providing guidance to the IT team. The Director will address current gaps in IT infrastructure, governance, and business relationship management, enabling the organization to evolve its IT function to meet the demands. The role will align IT practices with the values and long-term priorities of the Squamish Nation, including Wa chexw nexwníw̓en ta nexwníw̓ tl’a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (following Squamish ways of doing things), and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Salary : $ 131,305 - $ 154,141 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
