ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is for an accomplished construction leader to take charge of all construction operations while collaborating closely with our senior leadership team at the Mann Group.
As the Director Construction, you report to the President and CEO and are the senior most experienced leader that will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. You will lead project management, and site teams (civil and construction) to plan and successfully execute projects ranging from multi-family residential, commercial and light-industrial. This role covers every aspect from concept design to occupancy and involves managing project plans and schedules, budgets, quality control standards, safety, technical know-how and on-site safety, providing team leadership, progress monitoring and reporting, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of proven experience in a leadership role managing construction residential multi-family and commercial projects, and teams.
- We are looking for someone with a Developer-Builder or GC background.
- Extensive understanding of pre-construction, construction, building materials, constructability, city regulations, quality standards, and project management principles.
- Exceptional leadership and team building skills; one that can lead and work hand-in-hand with the team.
- Uncompromising planning, scheduling and time management skills, and proven ability to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
- Skilled in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing contracts.
- Effective decision-making skills and ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize numerous and diverse ranging activities and be able to work under pressure.
- Lead health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Technically skilled to use different software programs related to the construction industry
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Construction Management and PMP designation is an asset.
