Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our Liquid and Hazardous Waste business units in Western Canada. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong background in sales management, extensive knowledge of the liquid and hazardous waste industry, and a proven track record of driving sales success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Strategy Development : Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth targets. Identify new market opportunities, establish sales goals, and create action plans to achieve them.
  • Team Leadership and Management : Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team across Western Canada. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to maximize their sales effectiveness. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture.
  • Revenue Generation : Drive revenue growth by actively pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. Develop and implement effective sales techniques, pricing strategies, and negotiation tactics.
  • Market Expansion : Identify and evaluate potential markets, industry trends, and customer needs in Western Canada. Develop and execute plans to penetrate new markets, diversify revenue streams, and position the company as a preferred environmental services provider.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners. Understand their needs, address concerns, and provide value-added solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and sales pipeline. Identify areas for improvement, develop corrective actions, and report regularly to senior management on sales achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination of sales efforts, delivery of high-quality services, and achievement of customer satisfaction targets.
  • Industry Knowledge and Compliance : Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and competitive landscape in the liquid and hazardous waste sector. Ensure sales activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in sales management, preferably in the environmental services industry, with a focus on liquid and hazardous waste.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Western Canadian market and its specific environmental services requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Western Canada.
