Job descriptionCertificate, diploma or degree in a social service discipline (i.e. Child and Youth Care, Developmental Service Worker, etc.) from a recognized college or university. Broad Record Check (obtained from local Police). Child Welfare Record Check (obtained from local Children’s Aid Society). Driver’s Abstract; Class “G” Driver’s License; ability to provide transportation for services. Vehicle with $2 million liability insurance. Verbal De-escalation Certification (e.g. CIT, NCI, TCI, UMAB) with experience in crisis prevention. Standard First Aid with Infant / Child CPR - Level C. Personal computer and email address.

Position Summary : Family Support Professionals are skilled and educated independent contractors who play a vital part of the collaborative professional team that provides care and mentorship to children / youth / young adults in Bridgeway Foster Homes. This role provides ongoing opportunities to support different families in your region.
Job Type : Part-time; Ability to provide in-person services primarily during the week between 3 : 00-9 : 00pm and on weekends.
Reimbursement : Starting from $23-$30 / hour (inclusive of the $3 / hour Permanent Wage Enhancement provided by the Ontario Government); mileage per km when travelling with client; expenses (meals and activities).
