Position OverviewEncorp Atlantic is seeking an inspiring and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of advancing environmental sustainability and fostering impactful relationships. Based in Moncton, NB, the CEO will serve as the organization's highest-ranking executive, driving strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence while nurturing a culture of trust, collaboration, and innovation.Reporting directly to the Board of Directors (BOD), the CEO will spearhead initiatives that position Encorp Atlantic as a recognized leader in environmental stewardship and stakeholder collaboration. This individual will play a pivotal role as the organization's public face, representing its mission and values and in collaboration with industry associations, government entities, and community partners. The CEO will also lead critical contract negotiations with Redemption Centres, transport companies, and raw material buyers, ensuring partnerships that align with organizational goals.With a strong focus on strategic leadership, operational excellence, and proactive risk management, the CEO will guide Encorp Atlantic in adapting to industry trends, fostering sustainability, and strengthening relationships with internal teams, community partners, and oversight organizations.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDefine and communicate the organization's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.Anticipate industry trends and identify opportunities to drive growth and sustainability.Balance innovation with practical implementation to achieve long-term goals.Governance and AccountabilityWork closely with the Board of Directors to develop and execute strategic plans.Ensure organizational compliance with financial, legal, and ethical standards.Maintain transparency and accountability in all decision-making processes.Financial and Operational OversightOversee budget preparation, financial management, and the achievement of financial objectives.Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to achieve operational excellence.Champion initiatives that prioritize environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility.Risk ManagementIdentify, assess, and mitigate organizational risks to ensure long-term stability and success.Develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies aligned with strategic goals.Regularly report on risk exposures and mitigation strategies to the Board of Directors.Public-Facing CommunicationBuild and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including producers, industry associations, government entities, community partners, and oversight organizations.Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance the organization's public profile and influence.Contract Negotiation and Relationship ManagementLead contract negotiations with Redemption Centres, transport companies, and raw material buyers.Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.Ensure contracts align with the organization's objectives and operational requirements.Leadership and CultureInspire and motivate employees at all levels to achieve organizational objectives.Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.Establish an environment where employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered.Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain positive relationships with the Board, employees, producers, industry associations, government agencies, oversight organizations, and the community.Actively represent the organization's role as a service provider on behalf of producers in collaborative initiatives.Actively seek and incorporate diverse perspectives to inform decision-making and promote inclusivity.Represent the organization in public forums and with media, showcasing its value and mission.Effective CommunicationCommunicate effectively in both French and English with diverse internal and external audiences.Articulate organizational risks and strategies clearly, unifying stakeholders around common objectives.Bridge diverse perspectives to create alignment and consensus on strategic initiatives.Team and Talent DevelopmentProvide constructive feedback and mentorship to employees and leaders, fostering their growth and development.Encourage high-performance standards and promote a shared sense of purpose among teams.Create an engaging workplace culture that attracts and retains top talent.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceAdvanced degree in Business Administration, Environmental Management, Public Relations, or a related field.10+ years of executive-level leadership experience in a comparable organization or industry.Proven success in strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and public-facing leadership.Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiations and partnership development, focusing on aligning agreements with organizational objectives.Experience working with producers, industry associations, government entities, and community stakeholders.Fluently bilingual (English and French) in both written and spoken communication.We thank all interested applicants; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
