Position Description

Mercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Purchasing team as a Temporary Purchasing Expeditor.

As a Purchasing Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing department by ensuring the seamless and timely delivery of materials and supplies for our operations. This entry-level position offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and development in the Purchasing field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication with suppliers and shipping companies to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Update purchase order information, verify pricing, and negotiate prices and deliveries where appropriate.
• Monitor and maintain accurate delivery times with suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues that could potentially delay critical shipments.
• Maintain open lines of communication with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Prepare progress reports on outstanding orders and work with internal departments to prioritize deliveries.
• Document process issues.
• Streamline interdepartmental communication.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Salary

The salary for this position is $58,960.00 – $88,440.00. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
