The Role We are looking for an Accounting & Payroll Administrator to join our head office team in Swift Current. This role focuses on payroll and accounting functions. This an opportunity to use your financial and analytical skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, analysis and verification of accounting records, financial statements and reports.
  • Assist divisions with the completion of their roles and responsibilities relating to finance.
  • Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
  • Process AP & AR in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all transactions are kept current, recorded accurately, and processed efficiently.
  • Complete data mining & analysis.
  • Record and process employee expense reports and reconcile credit card statements.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of accounting experience in an accounting or financial management role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Preference will be given to a candidate that has experience with QuickBooks/accounting software, and MRP or ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently with discretion and confidentiality.

Assets

  • Working on or completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
