As a Data Team Lead, you will oversee and guide a team of data professionals responsible for managing and optimizing data assets within GEM. Your role will involve leading the development and implementation of data management practices, ensuring data quality, availability, and governance, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will provide leadership, mentorship, and foster a collaborative environment to ensure the efficient delivery of data projects and continuous improvement in data management processes.

What does your typical day look like?

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of data management practices, ensuring the organization's data assets are reliable, accessible, and secure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable and efficient data solutions that support business objectives.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization by implementing robust data governance frameworks and processes.
• Lead data management projects, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet project goals, budgets, and deadlines.
• Monitor team members’ workloads to ensure an equitable distribution of tasks. Adjust assignments as needed to maintain a balanced workload.
• Lead a team of data professionals by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Work closely with teams from our Windsor, Ontario site.
