Job descriptionMust be fluent and well‑spoken in the English language; French is an asset. Experience working in a B2B environment in a sales role, at a contractor’s desk in a lumberyard, or one of the big box stores would be an asset. Familiar with order entry processes and procedures (AS400). Strong organizational and time‑management skills, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize workload. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence, and comfort with both telephone and in‑person contacts. Self‑starter and willingness to take initiative. Independent in carrying out daily tasks. Intermediate‑to‑advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Excel, Wood, etc.). Efficient computer keyboarding skills. Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments. Participate in training sessions on new products. Experience in the cabinet & millwork or related industry considered an asset. Experience in hardware distribution business considered an asset. Able to lift 50 lbs. Must be eligible to work in Canada. Is extremely motivated to succeed and learn, passionate about providing exceptional customer service, willing to go the extra mile, maintains a positive and professional demeanor, works extremely well in a team environment, and is looking for a career and opportunities to grow. Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Customer Service Representative at our Victoria, British Columbia location.
More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to
- Kindly greeting and answering customer inquiries at our customer service counter.
- Respond, communicate, and provide timely information by phone or email.
- Assist customers by processing orders, product returns and claims, and picking orders as required.
- Ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction while delivering best–in–class experience.
- Maintain showroom by keeping shelves stocked and faced, routinely cleaning displays, and ensuring floors and aisles are kept clear.
