Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

A level of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field or three (3) years related experience.

Skills And Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge in musculoskeletal injury prevention and Safe Patient Handling
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate in both individual and large group settings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant WorkSafeBC regulation with respect to Ergonomics
  • Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints, with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with others effectively, often in highly charged emotional states
  • Superior investigative, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, facilitate and evaluate MSI Prevention programming
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidences of personal employee health files and matters
  • Demonstrated ability to demonstrate Coaching mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently using own initiative and to make decisions guided by standards of practice, WorkSafeBC regulation and Authority policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills including knowledge of all MS Office software applications
  • Physical ability to carry out the position
  • Use of a personal vehicle to travel between multiple sites
