We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Niagara Region for a Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager, your core responsibilities will include managing financial data, overseeing accounting policies and procedures, managing IT systems, and leading a team to success. This position is hybrid and allows for 1 day work from home flexibility.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial data.
- Maintain and implement a system of documented accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage and develop direct reports for better performance.
- Oversee the company's banking relationships and cash flow management.
- Engage in continuous cost reduction analyses across all areas of the company.
- Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
- Manage and control the annual audit and liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure SOX compliance.
- SME for ERP system and lead future upgrades.
- Provide leadership and oversee activities for all finance, accounting, tax, forecasting and treasury functions.
- Establish financial strategies and develop and implement financial policies, systems and procedures for the company.
- Manage 2-3 direct reports.
- Manage budget and forecast processes.
- Actively participate in regular strategy meetings with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- CPA designation is mandatory .
- Demonstrate strong leadership experience.
- Strong ERP systems experience.
- Past ERP implementation experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation.
- Knowledgeable in creating Journal Entries.
- Skilled in Cash Flow Management.
- Experience in Cash Flow Management.
- Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting.
- Experience in processing Government Remittances.
- Budgeting and Forecasting experience.
- Strong skills in Financial Analysis.
