Position : Director, Corporate Finance and Control

Compensation Details :

• Segment : Dir Acct. & Fin. Analysis 20 – Salaries typically range from $127,380 to $169,838 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance‑based incentive.

Location :

Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring employees to work in office 3 days per week (subject to change).

This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from any of our Community Hubs in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates meeting eligibility criteria.

Team Overview

The Director, Corporate Finance and Control reports to the Vice‑President, Corporate Finance and Control. Ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with leadership skills. The team handles overall accounting and reporting for loans, insurance, treasury, investments, tax, and pension to support EDC’s compliance. The team maintains overall accountability Financial Reporting and internal controls to satisfy compliance requirements.

Responsibilities include :

Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls, prepare financial reports.

Perform general accounting activities, keep financial records and maintain records, including one goal ledger.

What You Are Looking For :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.

Professional accounting designation.

Advanced knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.

Minimum 10 years' experience in Corporate Finance and Control.

Minimum 5–10 years of leadership experience.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Excellent leadership skills capable to teaching and coach others.
