Job description

Legal Assistant – Corporate Services

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Corporate Services group in Montreal. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services in the field of corporate law, the incumbent will work closely with paralegals and provide support in cases involving various corporate and transactional aspects related to clients' business operations.

What is in it for you :

  • Annual salary between $65.000 and $75.000, depending on experience.
  • Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week, 5-day workweek).
  • On-site start with a transition to a hybrid model after the onboarding period.
  • Hybrid work model : minimum of three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare annual reports for various jurisdictions and draft specific resolution projects.
  • Maintain corporate minute books and physical and electronic corporate records.
  • Update corporate information sheets.
  • Complete and file corporate forms with federal and provincial government authorities.
  • Conduct research in various government databases.
  • Enter corporate data into the Corplink application.
  • Assist in various projects and perform other related administrative tasks.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • College diploma (A.E.C.) in legal secretarial studies or a D.E.C. in office technology; a D.E.C. in legal techniques and / or a certificate in law is an asset.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Acrobat Pro.
  • Team spirit, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in French (oral and written) to support clients in both languages.
  • Professional level of English (oral and written) to support clients in both languages.
