Job description

Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare calculations, technical specifications, procurement documents, and project materials.
Design and oversee installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and process control.
Manage electrical infrastructure projects up to 44kV.
Ensure designs conform to applicable codes and client standards.
Provide technical supervision and mentoring to junior engineers.
Conduct site inspections and provide client consultations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

Licensed Professional Engineer in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario.

Experience with industrial HVAC controls and Ontario Electrical Safety Code.

Ability to perform trade-off analysis and solve technical problems.

Must have own transportation and be willing to travel to client sites.

Education and Experience :

University degree in Electrical Engineering.

3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consumables; food, or pharmaceutical industries.

Experience in electrical system design and consulting is an asset.

Experience with cogeneration and distribution systems is beneficial.

Ontario Ministry of Labour Pre-Start Health and Safety Review experience is a plus.

Additional Skills :

Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proactive with minimal oversight, and a willingness to train others.

Ability to work professionally and travel as needed within Ontario.
