Quantum Passivhaus is an innovative design and prefabrication build company specializing in high-efficiency design and construction. We offer a variety of panels and building solutions for new builds and panelized deep energy retrofits. We are searching for talented and highly experienced project managers with a robust background and knowledge rooted in the construction industry who can complement our expanding team!
This is a remote / hybrid position. The successful candidate resides in the Haliburton / Muskoka / Kawartha Region for easy access to client meetings, site meetings, and our production facility. The candidate must periodically attend headquarters in Minden for occasional department meetings and our mandatory monthly team meeting. A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license are a must.
Job Responsibilities :
Leading projects on time and budget through the following phases :
- Initiation planning and execution, monitoring / controlling and closing
- Managing and delegating tasks to trades, suppliers, and other professionals
- Coordinating staff and internal resources to drive successful outcomes
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Assembling and motivating the project team
- Developing the budget in collaboration with the Estimating team, updating it weekly to ensure accuracy of information.
- Developing a risk / reward analysis, project scope statement, construction setup, and department communications
- Executing the project plan and scope according to the project schedule & budget
- Creating project objectives, scope management plan (including preliminary scope statement, work breakdown structure), schedule, cost control plan, quality control plan, communication plan, pre-construction meetings, procurement management plan, and inventory control
- Conducting site visits (weekly or as needed by current on-site tasks)
- Completing a daily task log, weekly project reporting to stakeholders
- Monitoring safety during the construction phase
- Completing the certificate of substantial completion / performance, pre-occupancy detailing, pre-delivery inspection, closing & warranty
Qualifications :
Passive House Accreditation : Passive House Consultant or Trade certification is preferred or demonstrated experience in delivering Passive House-certified projects. Training can be provided for willing applicants once hired
Experience with Prefabrication Methods : Familiarity with prefabricated wall panel manufacturing processes, including delivery and installation logistics, is a plus.
Software Skills : Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Office) and Passive House-specific software (e.g., PHPP) is desirable.
